ATE awarded System Integration Contract for Process Analytical Systems from Repeating Clients

Abour NSRP:

Nghi Son Refinery and Petrochemical (NSRP), a joint venture between Idemitsu Kosan, Mitsui Chemicals, Kuwait Petroleum and PetroVietnam, has signed an EPC contract for the US$9 billion NSRP Complex in Thanh Hoa, Vietnam in January 2013.

The EPC contract has been awarded to a construction consortium, which includes JGC, Chiyoda, Technip, SK Engineering & Construction and GS Engineering & Construction.

The project involves construction and operation of a greenfield refinery and petrochemical complex in the Nghi Son Economic Zone located south of Hanoi. The new complex will produce gasoline, diesel, jet fuel, kerosene and other fuels and will have a crude processing capacity of 200,000 barrels per day.

The facility will also produce other petrochemicals products such as benzene, para-xylene and polypropylene, which will be available for both export and domestic consumption. The project is the first private sector refinery and petrochemical complex in Vietnam.

The construction of the facility is likely to last for at least three years and is scheduled to commence operations in mid-2017.
